I always love to watch the cruise entertainment at night after dinner - especially the large-scale, Broadway-style shows that generally take place in the main theater. On the Celebrity Summit, there were two different evening shows held on nights 2 and 4. During the Nassau port day and our day at sea, we spent most of our time on the pool deck and in the adult-only Solarium. While these areas were all busy every day, there were plenty of chairs and lots of room in the pools whenever we looked. Boarding the Celebrity Summit was one of the most seamless boarding experiences that I’ve had. While we arrived a few minutes early, we faced almost no lines and were on board in record time.
There were other activities as well, including live band karaoke and salsa dance classes. We always had plenty of options for things to do and were never bored. Edge-class ships within the Celebrity fleet truly go all out with the entertainment, providing tech-heavy, state-of-the-art, theatrical performances. Element is a show that focuses on the five elements and blends tech with acrobatics and choreography. Stage Door provides all your favorite Broadway and similar hits. Celebrity Beyond’s wellness offerings are truly spectacular and go beyond just a standard spa and fitness center.
For an even bigger upgrade, Royal Suites come in at between 538 and 687 square feet with verandas measuring 72 to 195 square feet. Each has ample storage, separate lounging and sleeping quarters, and a generously sized bathroom with a shower and separate soaking tub that's perfect for relaxing after a day in port. Like the vessels themselves, the line's cabins are well-appointed and elegant, with modern touches that appeal to a slightly younger-than-average cruise demographic.

While the free programming for children ages 3-12 ends at 10 p.m., you can pay extra to leave your kids at shipboard Camp at Sea centers past 10 p.m. For a supervised "slumber party." This is essentially a group kid-sitting service. Camp at Sea counselors welcome parents with toddlers to visit for playtime during special Toddler Time hours. However, parents of toddlers can't leave them at the program unattended.
Passengers caught smoking in their cabins will be charged a $250 fine per occurrence. Dubbed Camp at Sea, the program brings free, supervised activities daily for children ages 3-12 in dedicated spaces on board Celebrity vessels. While it doesn't draw as many families with young children as Royal Caribbean or Carnival, Celebrity offers an extensive children's program on ships that gets high marks from parents. Instead, Celebrity has gone for a much more serene feel with its top decks. For starters, they're covered with a lot of relaxing (and usually very stylish) pool and lounge zones. They also feature some of the most unusual relaxation zones you'll find anywhere at sea.
Formal nights (held once on cruises six nights or shorter, twice on longer itineraries) have been replaced by Evening Chic, where anything from cocktail attire to formal wear is appropriate. The dress code on a Celebrity cruise also extends to the theater on those evenings. There’s a separate bedroom, a huge bathroom with a soaking tub and big vanity, bar area, powder room and other features that make this suite feel like a luxury loft in the city. Beyond single staterooms with Infinite Verandas, you can also book just regular staterooms with Infinite Verandas. Each of these cabins measures in at 243 square feet of interior space and 42 square feet on the veranda.
Celebrity Beyond offers all that the Celebrity brand does so well — an adults-focused, luxurious experience with all the latest and greatest in cruising (if not the biggest). While this cruise ship might not be a perfect fit for everyone, it’s an excellent option for those seeking a high-end opportunity to relax, recharge and indulge at sea. In total, Celebrity Beyond offers more than 30 different food and beverage options, including 14 beverage options, eight specialty restaurants, four main dining rooms, four additional complimentary restaurants and two private restaurants. The Royal Suite features a small verandah but much more space inside, with 687 square feet.
Celebrity ships are loaded with entertainment and activities that range from Broadway-style theater shows and live music to glassmaking classes. Top decks of Celebrity ships have lots of pools, lounge areas and — on some ships — park-like retreats with real grass.
